:Edwardian walnut 4 foot twin pedestal desk with a burgundy leather skiver. Replaced brass swan neck drop handles. The bases of the pedestals have been raised on blocks. No serious splits; however the top has been rubbed down and refinished. The drawer fronts are a little scuffed and crazed. In other words the desk was restored a few years ago to a so-so standard, and this is reflected in the price. Overall the desk looks good and is in largely original condition. Size: 48 x 25 x 29.5" high with a kneehole height of 23.5". A good reasonably priced practical desk.

:Rare and handsome Edwardian pitch pine twin pedestal desk by the "educational supply association" - the plaque on the back indicates that this was probably destined for the headmaster's study. As expected there is above average workmanship - eg. 9 long graduated drawers in pitch pine throughout, exposed dovetails, panelled sides and back. The top lifts off in the usual way. In lovely condition with a distressed burgundy leather, natural golden colour and well polished. Each drawer has oversized knobs (some not original) and the key fits most locks. Size: 48 x 26 x 29" high.
