| MILITARY / SHIPS DESK UNDER OFFER NOW SOLD
Mahogany ships desk c.1910: recessed brass military handles, full length top chart drawer, bun feet (originally screw-in), with an old well-weathered tooled black leather. 3 piece construction (as are most of our desks) for ease of trnsporting. Details include brass eyes at the sides to tie down the pedestals, and each drawer has "ship" and other specifications written on the backs.
Quality construction values as expected; a lovely sought-after desk not too big at 50 x 23 x 29" high.

| Good looking 1920s mahogany veneered twin pedestal desk. The cater cornered breakfront top is edged with piecrust moulding. Bracket feet. Original decorated brass swan neck handled (backplates of one replaced). Weathered maroon leather. All locks work; one key. The back is well polished so it can stand in a room. Dismantles into 3 easily movable parts.
This desk was purchased from a Sussex farmhouse where it had given years of use: the drawer fronts have been given a hammering (not literally we hope) so edge moulding is missing / damaged. Overall it is in fair condition but unrestored (see pics).

| Small Victorian mahogany writing or occasional table c.1880 with one drawer. Standing on tapered turned legs. The top is of quartered, crossbanded veneer; well polished with a few cracks/chips to the top.
A very handy size and taller than some.

| VICTORIAN DICKENS DESK -
Victorian oak Dickens desk c.1870 featuring 8 standard drawers with central dummy. The slope lifts to reveal a fitted interior.
8 graduated Wellington type small drawers above with side locking system (working but sticky).
Tooled red leathers. Separate keys for drawers, writing surface and side flaps.
All a good light to medium oak colour, complete and in pleasing condition except veneer to pedestal bases is in poor condition.
Top lifts off pedestals for moving. Not too big at 54 z 27 45" high (max).

| Well presented Victorian mahogany twin pedestal desk c.1870. This is an ample size desk in a lovely medium mahogany colour. Two original double turned mahogany knobs to each drawer (some damaged). Burgundy tooled leather. Pedestals sit on 4 castors each. Original locks, key fits the reluctantly. Usual knocks, a few filled splits and some veneer damage to top (see pics). This is quite a deep desk, very well polished all over, and having an original antique feel.
