| : | An exceptional pair of large marble top cupboards. Dating probably to around 1920, these cabinets are of a very high standard in well polished mahogany, with inlaid doors and mottled red/grey marble tops (lift off). The inlay (see pictures) appears to be brass, boxwood and bone. Each cabinet stands on castors. The marble tops have a back frieze. The brass fittings are appropriate for a 20s piece.
These cabinets would be ideal for the bedside in a large room or alternatively would look good in opposing alcoves.
Note that one opens to the left, the other to the right as proper pairs should.
Size: 24" wide, 22.5" deep and 30" high, with an extra 2" height for the back frieze. The inside height is 10.5" | | Price: | £398 | | Ref: | A stunning and very rare pair of cabinets. Note that if to be used as bedside cupboards these are larger than usual. |

| : | Mechanical bellows or rotary blower c.1900. Used to light a fire or maybe a boiler.
Made of cast iron and steel with many brass fittings including the long nozzle. The mechanism rotates on its axis and the angle of elevation is adjustable. Lovely design details eg the ornate decorated base, the curved spokes on the flywheel and the interlocking brass cogs. All considered to be 100% original, including the beautiful green and red paintwork.
No damage apparent. All in full working order. The brass etc. is unpolished which seems appropriate to its authenticity. This is a real museum-quality piece, and the design and proportions make it a handsome stand-alone centrepiece. Size: 18" high x 28" long (approx). | | Price: | £290 |

| : | Reynolds of Ludlow artisan made long bench in SOLID YEW. This renowned father and son company made a small number of what can only be described as furniture artworks in Shropshire between the 50s and 70s. Working solely in yew, one of the most beautiful and sought after woods, these items are now rare. This rustic plank bench could also double as a substantial coffee table. It is longer than most of their output, at 7 foot (84") by around 22" wide and 16" high. The plank is 2" thick. The grain is just fabulous with several knot holes etc. It is highly polished, with only a few marks and knocks. The modernist legs are also shaped from solid yew, and despite its size the whole piece is quite solid - several people can sit on it. Would work equally well in a modernist contemporary setting or country cottage.
